Our Leadership

Photo of Mike Cheung

Mike Cheung, JCR President

Hey, I'm Mike, your JCR President this year! I represent undergraduate students in Josephine Butler College and oversee the operations of the Junior Common Room. This involves organising student events and leading initiatives within the college. Come say hi any time! I love meeting new people!

Georgia Hollett, FACSO

Hi! My name is Georgia, I'm a law graduate and I am 'FACSO' (Financial and Community and Support Officer) for the 2026/27 academic year. Alongside Mike, I am so excited to contribute to Butler next year and help ring in our 20th Anniversary!

The Mole

The Mole

Good day folks, I am the mole. I live within the mound, but don't be frightened, I'm friendly! I am your college mascot, summoned once in a while by the wonderful Gill (our college principal). You will see me at events throughout the year, such as matriculation!

So, what does the JCR do?

The Junior Common Room (JCR) is the heart of undergraduate student life in college. From social events (such as balls, formals, and bar nights), to sports and societies, to welfare support, to representation in the wider university community, the JCR is here for you!

You can find our societies on the student groups page.
